This next photo (was taken on the abusers property) and is of the same mare and foal above with the next pair of possible casualties...a pinto mare and her young foal that we unsuccessfully tried to take.
Conditions look far better than they actually are. These horses are living in horrid conditions.

Not to mention that this owner is a chronic offender The Richmond Region of the USERL was down there in 2007 and 2008 and removed 11 horses from the property as a deputy in the county encouraged them to do so after completing our Equine Cruelty Investigation course. The first time we were down 2 of the 5 had to be humanely euthanized. On our second "visit" three of the 6 were in such poor condition we arranged to have them housed at a farm 2 hours away so they wouldn't have to make the long trip to Richmond. Horses have been dying on that property for years and no one has done ANYTHING.
I guess the only happy creatures in this county are the buzzards! This family at least provides them with a steady diet as shown in the neighbor photos. It makes me sick to think how these horses are treated during their life but to think they are just left to the buzzards after they die is criminal. Can't these people have the decency to bury their emaciated carcasses. OH EXCUSE ME... I FORGOT I HAVE YET TO WITNESS DECENCY IN THIS FAMILY FOR ANY OF THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS
